Many
visitors to this site—as of late-have asked about Redwine Plantation or Lake
Redwine.
Lake Redwine is one of South Atlanta’s best kept
secrets to those who are not in the know!
Those who know about the Lake Redwine Subdivision—know that it is one of
Coweta Counties best address.
In addition
it is one of my top 5 South Metro Atlanta communities based on the way it is
beautifully designed.
With lots
available for as little as $75,000—to homes already built selling for over a
million dollars—with lakefront views and boat access—it offers something for
home purchasers—in various price ranges.
For
residents of the development that do not have waterfront homes—there is a
marina that is available for residents of the subdivision.
The lake is over 300 acres and the subdivision consists of
executive style homes in a wooded environment—with the centerpiece being Lake Redwine.
The
location is just north of Newnan, Georgia—and just south of Palmetto, Georgia—both
of which are semi-rural type communities.
You can access Redwine Plantation by taking I-85 South from Atlanta to
the Highway 154 exit—and go South for a mile or so on State Highway 29—and then turn right on Cedar
Creek Road—where you will travel about 2 miles—and make a left on Happy Valley
Road—where after 1 mile or so—you can access the Lake Redwine Subdivision on
your right.
The community is about 30 to 35 miles south of downtown Atlanta (about 25 minutes from Hartsfield/Jackson International Airport)—and the subdivision features various style homes on various elevations—in various price ranges ($300,000 to over 1 million dollars).
If you were a resident you would have lake access with your boat—and if you purchase a lakefront home—you can dock there. If you decided not to purchase a lakefront home—a marina is provided for launching and storing your boat—if you chose to do so.
Swimming in
the lake is also allowed—however you do so at your own risk. The lake use is for residents and their
accompanied guests.
The lots
around the lake are almost completely bought out—however a few remain (as of
Spring 2013).
On the
eastern shore of the lake is Island Cove Drive which have many homes with
lakefront views—and the prices reflect that reality. Most homes on the eastern shore are priced
from $600,000—to well over a million dollars.
On the
western shore you have more homes—with those on the lake valued higher than
those in outlying areas. You have many lots that are available in the
outlying areas—and a few homes that are under construction.
The
subdivision offers a clubhouse and swim/tennis which is located at the front of
the subdivision—which you can utilize if you are a resident.
Other amenities include gardens with walking
trails, Olympic size pool and children’s
fountain, playground, sidewalks—and
trails for hiking, biking, and jogging, community intranet, high speed internet
access—and of course—fishing and boating.
All of this is situated in a semi-rural environment just off State Highway 29—just north of Newnan.
This beautiful, calming community offers you a relaxing and pleasant environment
after a hard day of work.
If you are considering moving to the South Metro Atlanta area—be sure to put this community on your short list of subdivisions to visit—as you will be pleasantly surprised by what you will find.
